I said several things, if I recollect correctly. One being in part that I was of the opinion that he mistreated you, and that I disapproved of how he referred to you as a 'thing'. The other...Well, that—

As well you shouldn't...Especially if what he says is the reason why you inadvertently practise self-destructive behaviour for attracting his attention. If you want approval perhaps it is better to confront him. Of course, I'd rather not overstep myself by presuming..I do not know the extent to which this has been going on.
