Despite all this upheaval with the so-called terrorists or whatever they are..and Skye being on high alert the professor has seen to it that I get my rest.

[He hasn't taken time to dwell on such matters for a reason.]

And how are you feeling in your heart?

From:

[He has to remind himself of your deviance, sir. You always are so nice to him.]

I cannot say for certain. I feared that I'd lose myself to the taint of the creature..But my professor has assured me that the disease has not contaminated me. I am..fortunate. God must have had mercy on me.

From:

No.

You did it yourself, Seward. You are strong and honorable man. You warded it off with your own spirit. Do not thank anyone but yourself and know you have a marvelous guardian at your side.

[But he does believe in God, you know.]

I-I daresay you think too much of me. I am humbled that you might say so.

But, my Professor..He is a remarkable man. I do not dispute that.

Have I called at a poor time?

No, no. I apologize. There has been some going ons...As you may well be aware. I'm in the process of filling out my resignation at Skye Medical. Poor timing on my part, though I've opted to stay outside the city limits for the time being.

From:

You're resigning. [An indifferent tone, or maybe empty.]

A conflict of interest, you might say. And I was never meant for a general medical setting. My practice has always been a private one. There's a sanitarium I think will be much more agreeable.

I see. To think that someone would say a sanitarium is more agreeable. [A dry humor maybe.]
